Victorian Italian Renaissance Revival Cameo Portrait of a Woman in Elegant 16thc Dress

This cameo is older than its setting - which is a gold vermeil (silver with a gold plate) and has also been reinforced sometime in the past - adding a safety clasp and swivel pendant bale - that being said - she - the subject of the portrait is magnificent - her highly detailed 16th century bodice and aquiline nose - absolutely wonderful - brooch is in good wearable condition - measures 1 3/4 x 1 3/8 inches and weighs 13.9 grams - only mark is a '16' scratched into the shell back of the cameo.
