Victorian 14k Gold Sardonyx Hand Painted Portrait Swivel Locket Pendant Sentimental Mourning c1880

Rare sentimental / mourning Victorian gold Locket Pendant - Gorgeous slightly rose colored gold - no marks of any kind - tests at least 14k, but not 18k - double sided with uncut panels of sardonyx - one of carnelian and white - the other of black and gray - the swivel is beautifully tight and of elegant design - the interior has original gold frames and glass - one side with a hand painted miniature - possibly a hand painted photograph - can't quite tell with loupe and do not want to remove from setting - the reverse has a panel of hair. Locket measures 1 3/4 x 1 x 3/8 inches with swivel bale - total weight 12.3 grams.
