Gorgeous Edwardian Sterling Silver Figural Pin Cushion Miniature Elephant Saunders & Shepherd 1906

Very early Edwardian British figural pin cushion in the shape of a miniature elephant - retains the original velvet padding, but all of the nap has been worn away - probably due to polishing over the last century - I have not polished, but have left it in the condition in which I found it at the estate. Fully hallmarked with the Birmingham anchor, British sterling mark, date letter g for 1906 and maker's mark CS*FS for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd. Elephant itself is in very good solid condition - measures 1 7/8 x 1 5/16 x 13/16 inches and weighs 28.5 grams - again tarnished as I found it - otherwise very good.
