Simple, elegant and classically contemporary style Art Deco era - pale blond wood table box clad with a creamy green shagreen (shark skin) - box measures 6 5/8 x 4 5/16 x 2 1/8 inches - thumb lid lift - assume celluloid - box may have originally been used for cards or cigarettes - slightly domed lid with the largest nodules at the center and graduating down to the edges - 15 barrel hinge all good, tight and solid - faint loss to cladding at one corner - weighs 13.6 ounces.
