Art Deco Apple Juice Bakelite Scotty Westie Dog Brooch Pin Hand Painted c1930

Wonderful true art deco translucent bakelite figural brooch in the form of a stylized scotty or west highland terrier - bakelite (tested with simichrome) is an apple juice golden yellow - red handpainted enamel highlights - brooch measures 2 1/8 x 1 1/8 inches and weighs 8.5 grams - pin, screw hinge, screw clasp all original and in good vintage wearable condition. The red enamel heart on the reverse may be a signature - unidentified.
